My Journey
Over 30 years ago, I was a young art director cutting my teeth on the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort account. That work didn’t just shape my creative instincts—it confirmed my love for the outdoors. I’d even argue the ads we made back then still hold up.
That project was the start of a long run in the agency world—first as an art director, then a creative director, and eventually a partner at an award-winning shop. I spent decades helping build brands from the ground up—crafting campaigns that earned trust, stirred emotion, and stood the test of time.
Then I did something rare in this business: I slowed down.
I left the conference calls behind and set up shop in the mountains, where I could work with more intention—and a clearer point of view. The pace changed, but the standards didn’t. I cut the noise, kept the discipline, and focused on work that actually moves the needle. Whether we’re building a brand, capturing a product, or telling a story, I bring experience that runs deep—and a point of view that doesn’t bend to trends.

Before the mountain studio, there were agency floors and long fluorescent days. I spent three decades inside the marketing machine as a partner and owner—building brands, directing campaigns, shaping images—long enough to know how it works and where it breaks. I learned how stories get engineered, where attention really goes, and how quickly noise can bury meaning. The awards stacked up. The pitches landed. The machine didn’t slow down—and neither did I.
Then I stepped out of it on purpose and set up at elevation. I didn’t switch offices. I switched priorities—toward craft, place, and work that doesn’t chase approval. Today I work from a quieter place with the same hard-earned instincts and far less patience for bullshit. The experience still shows in the work—but now it’s aimed at things with actual weight: craft, place, people, and stories that don’t chase approval.

Today I work independently from a mountain studio, combining photography, creative direction, and brand thinking. I focus on people, products, and place—creating images and stories that are clear, considered, and built to last. No spectacle. No trend-chasing. Just work that holds up.
